Meals are fun at Kinkaku

By Stephanie Edwards

There are few places in Pigeon Forge where you can see a volcano erupt.

Kinkaku Japanese Steakhouse chefs make a mountain out of onions and set it on fire, making it look like a volcano shooting hot lava into the air.

This is the first of many tricks that they have up their sleeves.

Watching them prepare dinner is very entertaining.

Their show includes juggling, impressive tricks and a little bit of comedy.

Each entreé comes with soup and salad.

My friends and I also tried the baked California rolls. This was my first experience with sushi.

I was a little scared at first, but I tried it, and I was pleasantly surprised.

Lobster, scallops, shrimp, steak and chicken are all on the entreé menu at Kinkaku.

You can choose one of the meats or a combination of two or more.

Believe me, they are all worth their weight in gold.

I couldn’t make a decision so I choose the combination of all of them.

The seafood is some of the freshest that I have tasted at a non-oceanfront restaurant.

Mouthwatering steak and chicken are also quite tasty.

The tables seat eight so they offer plenty of room to hang out with friends.

Kinkaku is planning to add a sports bar to their facility. The bar will feature four televisions, computer access for customers and be decorated with beautiful Japanese lanterns.

Kinkaku Japanese Steakhouse, 3152 Parkway,  is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Dining at Kinkaku is a wonderful experience. The chefs make every meal both delicious and entertaining. It is well worth every penny you spend.
